Elvin Bishop: Nuevo CD en beneficio de Little Smokey Smothers

Elvin Bishop lanza un cd en beneficion y para ayudar a Little Smokey Smothers. Elvin Bishop realizo este disco con su amigo de toda la vida y mentor musica, "little Smokey Smothers" para ayudarle en un tiempo de necesidad.
Smokey ha visto declinar su salud en los ultimos años y recientemente perdio sus dos piernas debidoa la diabetes.
Elvin conocio a Smokey en los 60's en Chicago mientras estdiaba en la Universidad de Chicago y durante su colegiatura con el blues en los barrios oeste y sur de la ciudad.
Smokey realizo su carrera en la escena del blues de Chicago, mientras Elvin ganaba prominencia, primero con la Paul Butterfield blues band y luego como artista por su propio peso.
El cd se llama "Chicago blues buddies" y fue producido por Dick Shurman. Presenta temas en vivo y en estudio y una entrevista con los Chicago blues buddies ralizada durante el Chicago blues festival.
Elvin pago por este proyecto y sus derechos  van directamente a Smokey.

Elvin Bishop Releases Benefit CD to help Little Smokey Smothers. Elvin Bishop has released an album with his longtime friend and musical mentor, "Little Smokey" Smothers to help during a time of need. Smokey has had declining health over the last few years and recently has lost both his legs to diabetes. Elvin met Smokey in Chicago in 1960 while attending regular college at the University of Chicago and "blues college" on the south and west sides. Smokey would have a steady mostly local career in the Chicago blues scene, while Elvin would gain prominence, first with the Paul Butterfield Blues Band, and then as an artist in his own right. The CD is called "Chicago Blues Buddies" and is produced by blues kingpin Dick Shurman. It features both studio and live recordings as well as an interview with the blues buddies conducted at the Chicago Blues Festival.
